The priestesses of the Reaching Moon are terrifying to the peoples living on the borders of the Lunar Empire, a cult worshipping a bloodthirsty goddess of vengeance, feeding her human sacrifices to maintain the Glowline, the empire's magical protective barrier. This one is Pentan by birth, one of the red-headed children sent into the empire as tribute.

Most beloved of Maran Gor, the Shaker Goddess, were the Quakebeasts. Her greatest pleasure was dancing with them in a circle, laughing beyond control, as their footfalls shook the earth for miles around.
