Cannibal Cult
During the Great Darkness not all humans in Prax were prepared to submit themselves to the Survival Covenant Lottery. One group managed to contact a spirit that taught them how to gain power and sustenance through eating their own kind. These people became the Cannibal Cult. Feared and hated in equal measure by all other humans in Prax, they live in both small and extended family groups. They gain strength through the ritual sacrifice and cannibalism of powerful enemies. The more powerful the enemy sacrificed and eaten, the greater the magical benefit.
In the cannibal cult everyone who wants to eat has to fight; of particular note is Granny Scalp, handy with both scalping knife and spear: sweet Jemma and little Billy, two Cannibal Cult children who are wont to play lost waifs to encourage the unwary into an ambush; and Mara, the only fertile woman of the group, expert with bow and castration knife.
Lunar assassins
Enemies of the Empire often die sudden, horrid and unexplained deaths and Lunar assassins are often blamed . Sometimes the assassins actually have nothing the do with the opportune passing of their enemies. These assassins are wearing the famed Moon Masks to strike fear into their victims.
Danfive Xaron Penitents
The merciful Empire offers a path to redemption even for those who are incapable of being redeemed. This difficult but morally rewarding task is handled by the cult of Danfive Xaron. Penitents are ritually branded and scarred as part of a many year purification process. Danfive Xaron military units are renowned for their steadfastness in battle. Detractors of the Cult's many battle honours' ascribe this to the fact that inmates are chained together in combat.
Doblian Dogeaters
A regiment with a proud history of service in the Lunar Heartland corps. They are known for their Magical Highlight "Great Rush" which often confounds enemy infantry and cavalry alike.
Full Moon Corps.
These arrogant Heroes in Training are a Regiment of the Imperial Bodyguard. They use whatever arms and armour they like, and when they join the Full Moon Corps they are given a silver facemask, which over time transfigures to represent the underlying personality of the wearer. In battle they often descend from the Red Moon on moonbeams to the consternation of their enemies.
Beetle Herd
Urrg Darkherder with three small beetles.
1st Elite Argan Argar Kin
Not all Trollkin fight in a screaming horde. Argan Argar teaches the use of the spear, and some of the bravest Trollkin are likely to find themselves volunteered for this unit.
As with all Troll society recycling is important; not only are dead fighters served on the table, but any armour and weapons from the fallen and eaten are quickly issued to replacements. Units of this type sometime accompany Argan Argar trade caravans, and are often used as a blocking force whilst full trolls reposition themselves elsewhere.
Other units are known to be honour guards for Xiola Umbar priestesses, whose kindness is known by all and whose knowledge of the "Attract Attention" spell is a well guarded secret.
