. Holiday Dorastor: Temple of Heads
Q: Are Dokat and forth Wrath near?

A: There is a map of the surrounding area in Temple of Heads, but a fuller map in Secrets of Dorastor.
It is near to Fort Wrath and fairly near to Dokat.
Spider Woods is next, then probably Seven Hills.
I based Fort Wrath on a dwarven complex that I bought years ago, City of Dolg, but can't use that map for Jonstown Compendium.
Dokat might come, eventually, maybe as a Cities of Dorastor supplement.

Note: Temple of Heads should be followed by Spider Woods, then maybe Seven Hills. All three are old school.

And a PoD of Secrets of Dorastor (alternative classic look version) may be available at some times.

. The Company of the Dragon:
It took me six months to write Company, and I even shortened my teaching schedule each week to do it (losing pay).
But given the lackluster response, I will never be doing that again. I can't afford to focus on projects like this when people do not buy them.

I have other writing contracts coming up, not for RQ, but if I am given the choice between pouring my hard work into something people do not buy and something they will...it is an easy choice.
I suspect there is still a perception that JC products are not "real." they are "amateur," etc.
Which may or may not be true, but it is a pity.
There is amazing work being done by JC authors and I do not think they get half the credit or attention they should.
Company was an experiment.
I wanted to see if a long campaign would sell.
It isn't.
So I am happy I did it but it it is time to move on to where the audience is.

I have a Cthulhu project coming up, and possibly a couple of others.
And I WILL still be doing JC content.
Just not a campaign again.
I am thinking of projects I can price at under $10 US.

Dragon Sphere pour Six Seasons in Sartar, par Brian J. Hunt

Paul Baker:
I'm currently in the process of extending the Teshnos book a little (Non-human player races, + notes, maps, background for Melib & Thoskal, around 30 pages of stuff). Should be done in a week or so.

Also planing out a second book to cover the amazons, yellow elves, and the remaining areas of Teshnos, a bit on temples + an adventure, and some adventure seeds (110 pages roughly).

Close Encounters of the Sartar Kind, par Eric Bauge, 11 pages pour $1.81
https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/35 ... artar-Kind
Encounter charts are a great way to add some element of randomness into a campaign. They help maintain the illusion that the world doesn’t revolve around the adventurers, but has a life of its own. Sometime, a random encounter might even become a regular character in a campaign, as an ally, or as a recuring enemy.

Close Encounters of the Sartar Kind is an 11 pages supplement for RuneQuest Roleplaying in Glorantha, which has tables and rules needed to run random encounters for 11 types of terrain in Sartar.

Design for relaunch of the gaming magazine 'Tales of the Reach Moon'. I came up with a design that focussed on the concept of the symbiosis of the Lunar and Solar, thus the interlinked Os in Moon. As the magazine was originally focussed on RuneQuest, I riffed on the RQIII Logo design byt including the rune borders.

Spoiler
The bad guy in the scenario is introduced as a Rune Priest of Eurmal. Following the strongly Loki-themed presentation of Eurmal in Andrew Logan Montgomery's excellent initiation scenarios from "The Company of the Dragon," I would say instead that he's a previously upright citizen whose jealous envy of Vareema's position on the Clan Ring allowed his mind to be poisoned by the jealous, envious Trickster.
So instead of being a clever high-functioning sociopath, capable of making strategic use of his array of Trickster Rune spells, he's more a victim of a cosmic force of disorderly malice, sucked into an increasingly dire situation by the spiralling doom that *always* follows once anyone starts taking the Trickster's advice.
That's it: that's the only change. The protagonist is still the architect of his own tragic downfall, but in my telling it was the Trickster, much like the Witches in Macbeth or Iago in Othello, that tipped him over the edge. (Or maybe that's *exactly* the sort of cover-story you'd expect a clever high-functioning sociopath to come up with?)

TESHNOS - LAND OF FIRE page 4
History of Teshnos 5
Teshnan Culture 8
The Celestial Fires 12
Places of Teshnos 18
Map of Teshnos 21
Teshnan Scenarios 22 & 23

Cela s'appelle " That ".

Simon Phipp:
Wahay! Stormspearia has made over 1,000 sales across 6 Jonstown Compendium supplements, an average of 166 each, with Secrets of Dorastor and Secrets of HeroQuesting way above average, Book of Doom at about average and How Humakt Learned to Grieve, Denarius the Minter and Holiday Dorastor: Temple of Heads below average.
To celebrate this amazing feat, I will be adding a new HeroQuest download to each supplement, as a special thank you.
Each HeroQuest will be similar in format to those from How Humakt Learned to Grieve , and a different one for each supplement, broadly aligned to the supplement.
So, the one for the Temple of Heads will be The Black Pit, where Lhankor Mhy is trapped by Thanatar and has to use his wiles to escape.
Note: HQ availabity will likely be spread on several weeks.

Andrew Logan Montgomery:

GLORANTHA: the search for the Throne of Colymar, une simple proposition de scénario, 2 pages 1/4 pour $1, par Davide Quatrini:
https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/35 ... of-Colymar
GLORANTHA: The search for the Throne of Colymar is an adventure for RuneQuest: Roleplaying in Glorantha in which a group of Sartarites are required by their community to find the fabled Throne used by Chief Colymar centuries ago while ruling in Hendrikiland.
Image

Nick Brooke:
I was tidying up my old posts from BRP Central (plus some other bits and bobs), and thought: why not find a way to share these with a wider audience? So, with many thanks to Michael O'Brien for a lightning-quick approvals process, here's a 58-page document I'm modestly and optimistically calling Nick Brooke's Gloranthan Manifesto - Volume One. It's yours for free, under Chaosium's Fan Material Policy (NB: some bits needed additional approval).

Subjects covered include RuneQuest, heroquesting, inspirations for Gloranthan games, a miscellany of Sun County stuff (inc. maps and diagrams), Argrath vs. the Lunars, four Gloranthan songs and a few personal notes at the back.
Gratuit, à télécharger sur le forum BRP:
